I've had a few days now to think about my reading in the past and I never manage to complete much. Of course, I read a lot, but somehow I'm never satisfied.
As I am usually really bad with New Year's resolutions, I figured I would just try to commit to a few reading resolutions.
1) I will read 150 books. That's about the amount of books I read last yaer, counting mangas, but this year I want to try to have a maximum of 40 mangas among those 150 books.
2) I will try to complete as many of the challenges I joined as possible. Since all of them allow me to change my list or make it up as I go, this is not all too hard, even if I have a couple stinkers that I planned to read. (At least I hope it's not that hard...)
3) I will keep a complete list of all books I purchase in 2009. I'm not yet sure whether I will keep a monthly list or just one at the end of 2009.
4) I will try to do better with my reviews. I haven't been anywhere near good with writing reviews in 2008, but I'm right now taking a class where we're actually leaning how to write a review, so maybe I'll even write better reviews from now on.
Nice set of goals: Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list of goals, Kathrin. I kept a list of all the books that came into my house this past year, although I decided against posting it on my blog. Maybe I'll be more brave at the end of this year. :-)
ReplyDelete@ Beth: Thanks a lot! And Happy New Yew!
ReplyDelete@ Literary Feline: Thanks! I thought about not posting the list, but if I don't, then I probably won't be as careful... I have to trick myself ;)
